The free-to-play 3D action MMORPG developed by Naddic Games and published by Nexon in Korea, Closers was released on December 30, 2014.


It was released in South Korea on December 2014. One year later, it was released in Japan on August 18, 2015. In 2017, En Masse Entertainment announced it is launching the game in North America and Europe. Closed alpha tests began in September. Later on, closed beta launched in November.

Just recently, it released a trailer of its upcoming own PUBG competitor game on its Steam page. In the video, players are crumbling cement blockades under a flurry of bullets, bursting through brick walls in a humvee, blowing out lights, and even shooting loose a bundle of steel pipes to rain down on another player.


Unfortunately, there is no confirmation when it will be released outside China.


Maelstrom (PC)

Recently, Gunpowder Games, developer of Maelstrom, released its Steam Early Access Trailer on YouTube in March 2018, The game is described as “the weirdest battle royale game” by IGN.

The game is a last “ship” standing-style with the goal plundering more golds while defeating all others and be the last ship sailing.

Maelstrom is expected to be available in 2018.

Egress (PC, PS4, Xbox One)


The game is described as a role-playing battle royale ”with an “intense hardcore Souls-like combat system.” The game is set in the city with houses, streets, and sewer tunnels. Overall, the universe is combined with the “Victorian era, Lovecraft’s mythology, and Retrowave.”


There are 12 characters to choose from on Egress. Currently, there are three of them have been announced, which include Vampire, Guardian, and Hunter.


Its developer Fazan Games (developer of Beastiarium as well) released an announcement trailer. As you can see in the video, it is set to release for Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2018.
